Join us for a hands-on on pottery workshop in our lovely home studio in te miro, 15 mins from Cambridge town.

You will be shown techniques to make some amazing pieces!

WED 15TH OCT - 6.30pm, 2hours + tidy up

 

This is a great workshop - we'll use slab technique to make a family of gnomes. You can decorate + personalise

 

If you prefer a simpler option your Gnomes can be xmas trees or little tealight cones

 

You can either make 4x small or 2x large gnomes and be able to select from 3 colour choices to have their hats glazed for you.

 

Toasty buff or cream clay will be used

Please note that our workshops are slightly flexible, so if your heart goes in another direction using the same technique we will do our best to guide you along the way. Our workshops are small groups of only 8 or less so you will have personalised assistance + guidance.

 

As we have a home studio, exact address + info sent out the week of.

We are located near the end of Flume Road, te Miro

 

 

Your pieces will be slowly dried, fired, glazed in your choice (of 3) glazes and available for collection 4-6 weeks post workshop

*non refundable unless we can fill your space; you can transfer to a friend if unable to make it. however if you have an emergency, please contact us at samara@thepiedpotter.co.nz so we can try to refill your spot; this is not usually possible within 48hours of event.

*under 15 must book alongside an adult

*8 people max. reserve the right to cancel (and refund) or reschedule if numbers aren't reached

*clay, glaze + firings included

*feel free to bring a beverage of any sort, glassware available

*pottery can be very humbling. we will do our best to repair any small cracks. breakages and large cracks can occur due to learning and are part of the process. in the case of any kiln issue or error with glazing/handling you will be offered a chance to come out and remake your piece.
